The first step of many projects and business products is entry of data. Whilst data entry isn’t often a complex task, it can be time consuming and the repetitive nature of the process can leave businesses with a large time-sink and inaccurate results.

T3Data’s data entry services can help take the pressure off of these manual and repeatable data entry tasks, providing assistance with entering data from any source into a more structured and usable format. Some examples are:

• Converting .pdf documents into a formatted spreadsheet
• Reading written notes into an electronic form
• Collecting data from documents into a formal document register

Our data entry techniques vary from basic but tested data entry to using customised automated data extraction methods. As with our other services, our work is tested to ensure a high quality and accuracy. For example:

• Two-Pass Verification: Sometimes called Double-Blind Verification, this method requires a second user or method to input the data in order to confirm that it has been input correctly.
• Key-verification: This method requests the user to re-input specific data entries to ensure that both match. Key-verification is often associated with a percentage representing the number of entries of the dataset that are to be re-entered. 100% Key-verification would be repeating the entire data entry, 50% Key-verification would be reentering half of the entries, randomly selected.

Data built up over years of work can be hard to work with, especially when it is stored in many different versions, files, locations or formats.
